New '05-'10 Mustang GT Plenum Cover

2005-2010 Mustang GT owners have a new product to smile about and buy.... the new Mustang GT 3 Valve "Open Runner" Plenum Cover.  It takes a lot for me to get excited but the new S197 GT Plenum Cover  has me more excited then when Tobi Smith asked to borrow my #4 pencil in fifth grade art class, I had such a crush on Tobi.

The new "Open Runner" Plenum Cover from Cal Pony Cars is one of the sharpest '05-'10 Mustang accessories to come out in a long time.   The first thing that strikes me about the Plenum is the design that resembles the 2011 5.0 Mustang Plenum Cover.  Adding a new look to an older vehicle is a very wise move.  Because of it's low profile design the Plenum Cover will fit under most of the Strut Tower Braces on the market....BIG Kudos.  S197 owners have longed for a Plenum Cover that offers clearance for Strut Tower Braces and this one will do just that.

The "Open Runner" Plenum Cover comes in a Gunmetal finish with an aluminum accent that matches
with the CPC Fuel Rail Covers and Throttle Body Cover.  The Plenum Cover works with or without
the CPC Fuel Rail Covers and Throttle Body Cover but if you really want to dress up your engine
bay the Fuel Rail Covers   and Throttle Body Cover are a must.  The 4.6 font is embossed and will be available with different color decals in the future.  Installation will take you less than five minutes and the impact is instant and long term.

The price for the Plenum Cover is $199 and is available from Bangastang.  We are now taking
orders for the "Open Runner" Plenum Cover and will start shipping orders out in early November.
Bangastang  is the first to offer the new GT Plenum Cover and it's also available painted from us.
It's time for some new gear for your 2005-2010 GT.  Visit our website and place your order today

The "Mustangs on the Bay" car show is always a great  show to attend.  Every year the San Diego Mustang club holds the event at Seaport Village in downtown San Diego.  The show will bring between 300-400 cars, mostly Mustangs from the classic 1964 1/2 to the 2011.

This year's show was well attended with a wide selection of Mustangs from stock to modified.  Mustang owners outside of the state of California traveled and drove their Mustangs to participate.

Bangastangs customers continued their winning streak at "Mustangs on the Bay" with four 1st Place

All of our winner's Mustangs were well detailed and tastefully accessorized.   The Mustang accessory that all of the winners have is our Bangastang Radiator Cover  along with the Cal Pony Car Battery and Master Cylinder Covers .

We've found that combination of our Bangastang Radiator Cover along with the Cal Pony Car Battery and Master Cylinder Covers makes a great Engine Dress-up kit for the late model Mustangs. We highly recommend both accessories when customizing your Mustang's engine bay.

Project Mustang Bullitt

We've been hoping for the opportunity to work on 2008 Mustang Bullitt.  Bullitt owners tend to limit the number of aftermarket accessories that they install on their Mustang, so when we got the call that we would do some customizing on a Bullitt, needless to say we were pretty excited.
The Mustang Bullitt is a tribute car to the classic movie "Bullitt" that starred the late movie icon
Steve McQueen.  In 2001 the Ford Motor Company released the first Bullitt Mustangs and then
again in 2008-2009.  Limited in production and color selection Bullitts were only available in black, True Blue and Highland Green with the latter being the most popular.

We received a phone call from Bret D. owner of a 2008 Mustang Bullitt, Bret explained to us that his Bullitt was a daily driver with 70,000 miles and also a show car, which is some what rare for a car with 70K miles.  After talking with Bret, I realized that he was very meticulous about his Bullitt.  We knew from day one we wanted to do something special and classy for his '08 Bullitt.  Bangastang doesn't believe in ruining a Mustang, just enhancing it.  Bret told us the ideas that he had for his Bullitt and after a few conversations we came up with a game plan.  With some Mustang accessories from
Bangastang and the painting skills of Pat's Custom Cars  and Bret's input we started "Project Bullitt".

When we first saw Bret's Bullitt it was obvious he had taken very good care of his car.  Already
outfitted with Silverhorse Racing Louvers , Bassini exhaust, Ford Racing headers, MAG Fuel
Rail Covers and Plenum Cover, Bret's motor was clean something that we don't see enough of in
show cars. You've heard the expression "if it's not broke don't fix it", Bret's Bullitt was not broke it just needed a little freshening up and a few Mustang accessories to enhance Bullitt #2978.  Bret has won his share of trophies for his Bullitt and wanted to make sure he continued to win more trophies. Bret had a good idea what he wanted for his car so an initial parts list was put together that included a California Special Front Fascia, Trufiber SVT fiberglass hood and one of our Bangastang Radiator Covers  One thing to remember when customizing any car your initial parts list may grow and setbacks can happen like it did with "Project Bullitt".

Pat's and his crew starting to dismantle the Bullitt in preparation for paint, this was not going to be a scuff and mask paint job like most or your collision shops but a complete paint job that includes the
removal of all lights, turn signals, door handles, badges, markers and trim.
